2. Eligibility and minors

You must be at least 18 years of age to book services or register for classes, workshops, or retreats through our website or booking platform.

Clients under the age of 18 may receive services only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who must complete any required intake forms and, where appropriate to the service, remain available during the appointment.

3. Services

Sacred Beauty Collective offers boutique wellness services including aesthetics, hypnotherapy, and reiki, as well as classes, workshops, and retreat experiences. Services are provided by independent practitioners and staff at our Edmonton studio.

Service offerings, pricing, availability, and practitioners are subject to change. Current service details are listed on our website and through our booking platform.

4. Bookings and appointments

Appointments may be booked through our third-party booking provider, Vagaro. Returning clients may also book, manage, and view appointments, packages, and intake forms through our secure online client portal. By completing a booking, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms, including the cancellation and payment policies below.

You are responsible for ensuring that the service you book is appropriate for you. If you have any health conditions, concerns, or questions prior to your appointment, please contact us before booking.

5. Appointment cancellation policy

Each appointment is reserved with care and intention to ensure every client receives the full experience they deserve. Because your session time is set aside exclusively for you, the following policy applies:

A minimum of 48 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice will be subject to a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the scheduled service price. No-shows, meaning failure to attend your appointment without prior notice, will be charged the full service amount.

We understand that emergencies and unexpected circumstances arise. Please reach out to us as soon as possible if something comes up and we will do our best to accommodate you with understanding and compassion.

By completing a booking, you acknowledge and agree to this cancellation policy.

6. Class, workshop, and retreat cancellation policy

Tickets or registrations for classes, workshops, and retreats are non-refundable, regardless of the reason for cancellation.

  • Ticket transfers: You may transfer your registration to another person up until the transfer deadline specified at the time of registration or in your booking confirmation. To request a transfer, contact us with your full name and the name and contact information of the person taking your place. After the stated transfer deadline, transfers are no longer permitted.
  • Payment plan purchases: If you registered using a payment plan, all payments are non-refundable. All installments must be completed prior to attending. Missed or declined payments must be resolved within 7 days of the due date. If you choose to withdraw from the event, you remain responsible for completing all scheduled payments.
  • No-shows: Failure to attend for any reason, including illness, travel disruption, or personal circumstances, is considered a no-show. No refunds, credits, or deferrals will be issued.

Specific transfer deadlines and additional conditions for each event will be communicated at the time of registration and in your confirmation materials. In the event of a conflict between these general terms and event-specific terms, the event-specific terms will govern.

7. Payments

All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD). Payment for in-studio services, and for bookings made through our online client portal, may be processed through Stripe, our payment processor, while online bookings and event registrations made through Vagaro are processed by Vagaro at the time of booking.

Sacred Beauty Collective reserves the right to adjust pricing at any time. Any changes to pricing will be reflected on the website and booking platform. Prices confirmed at the time of your booking will be honoured for that booking.

Cancellation and no-show fees are charged in accordance with the policies outlined in Sections 5 and 6 of these Terms.

8. Health and wellness disclaimer

The services offered by Sacred Beauty Collective, including hypnotherapy and reiki, are complementary wellness services intended to support relaxation, personal wellbeing, and self-awareness. They are not licensed medical or mental health services and are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

By booking and attending services, you confirm that you understand the nature of the services being offered. If you have a medical condition, mental health concern, or are under the care of a healthcare provider, we encourage you to consult your healthcare provider before participating in complementary wellness services.

Sacred Beauty Collective does not make any claims that its services will diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical or psychological condition.

9. Health disclosure, assumption of risk, and conduct

You agree to provide accurate and complete information about your health history, medical conditions, allergies, sensitivities, and any other circumstances relevant to the safe delivery of your service, whether requested verbally, through an intake form, or through a consultation form. Withholding relevant information is at your own risk.

Participation in any service, class, workshop, or retreat is voluntary. You acknowledge that wellness services, including reiki, hypnotherapy, and aesthetics treatments, carry some inherent risk, and you voluntarily assume all risks associated with your participation.

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service to anyone whose conduct is abusive, unsafe, or disruptive to staff, practitioners, or other clients, or who declines to disclose relevant health information requested of them for safety reasons.

10. Photography, video, and testimonials

From time to time, we may take photographs or video during classes, workshops, retreats, or in our studio for marketing and promotional purposes, including on our website and social media channels. By attending an in-person service, class, workshop, or retreat, you acknowledge the possibility of incidental photography or videography in shared spaces.

If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please advise our staff in advance of your appointment or upon arrival, and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.

We will only use testimonials, reviews, or before-and-after photos that identify you personally with your separate, explicit consent.

11. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including text, images, graphics, branding, and design elements, is owned by or licensed to Sacred Beauty Collective. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this website without our prior written permission.

The Sacred Beauty Collective name, logo, and related marks are our property and may not be used without authorization.

12. Limitation of liability and indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law in the Province of Alberta, Sacred Beauty Collective and its staff, practitioners, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services or website.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sacred Beauty Collective Inc., its owners, staff, and practitioners from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of our services, or your failure to disclose relevant health information.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including the Alberta Consumer Protection Act.

13. Events beyond our control

Sacred Beauty Collective is not responsible for delays, cancellations, or changes to services, classes, workshops, or retreats caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, public health emergencies, venue unavailability, or government restrictions.

Where an event must be cancelled or rescheduled due to such circumstances, we will make reasonable efforts to offer a transfer, credit, or alternative date, at our discretion.

14. Third-party platforms

Our website and booking system integrate with third-party platforms, including Vagaro for online booking and event registration, and Stripe for secure payment processing. These platforms operate under their own terms of service and privacy policies.

Our online client portal is built and hosted on our behalf by our software provider, Sightedinnovations, using Google Cloud infrastructure. Unlike Vagaro and Stripe, Sightedinnovations acts as our service provider and does not use your information for its own independent purposes — it remains subject to our Privacy Policy.

Sacred Beauty Collective is not responsible for the practices, content, or security of third-party platforms such as Vagaro or Stripe. We encourage you to review the applicable terms and privacy policies before submitting personal or payment information to any third-party service.

15. Privacy

The collection, use, and protection of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Our Privacy Policy is prepared in accordance with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

By using our website or services, you also agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy.

Read our full Privacy Policy.

16. Governing law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, we encourage you to contact us directly so we can attempt to resolve the matter informally. Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Alberta.

17. General provisions

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any event-specific terms provided at the time of registration, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sacred Beauty Collective Inc. regarding your use of our website and services.

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so at a later time.

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes to our services, policies, or legal obligations. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.

Your continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
